Overview
This notice explains how BSNS GmbH handles personal data on bsns.ch, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The controller is BSNS GmbH, Birkenstrasse 47, 6343 Rotkreuz, admin@bsns.ch.
We use no advertising and no social media plugins. Fonts and images are served from our own domain. Google Analytics runs only if you accept it.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA. To deliver pages and protect them from abuse, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and your browser type, and keeps these logs for a short time. Data may be processed outside Switzerland, including in the USA, on the basis of the safeguards Vercel provides, such as standard contractual clauses.
Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, for how long, how visitors found us and which devices they use. It helps us improve the site. Until you accept, Google Analytics does not load and nothing is sent to Google.
Once you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies and processes the pages you view, the time of your visit, the website you came from, your device, browser and screen size, and your approximate location (country and city), which Google derives from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, and we do not combine this data with anything else we know about you.
The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Frameworks and also relies on standard contractual clauses. Data linked to cookies is deleted after at most 14 months.
The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time under , also at the bottom of every page. Google Analytics then stops and its cookies are removed.
Contact
When you use the contact form or write to us, we use your name, email address, company and message only to reply and to follow up on your request. With a form message we also receive the time it was sent and the country it came from, which our host derives from your IP address. The IP address itself is held only briefly in memory to block abuse and is not stored.
Form messages reach us by email through the email service Resend (USA), which processes them on our behalf. You receive a short confirmation by email. Data may be processed outside Switzerland, including in the USA, on the basis of standard contractual clauses. We keep the correspondence as long as needed for that purpose or as required by law.
Fit check
The fit check on our home page gives you an automated first read of your idea or company. What you enter (your stage, your description, the needs you pick, a website address and a PDF if you add them) is sent to Anthropic PBC, USA, whose Claude model writes the result. If you give a website, Anthropic's service opens that site to read it. The result is shown to you only.
We do not store the check: nothing reaches us unless you send it. So that the same check is not run twice, its result stays in the server's memory for up to an hour and is then forgotten. Anthropic processes the data on our behalf; under its commercial terms it is not used to train its models and is kept only for a limited period for safety and abuse monitoring. Data is processed in the USA on the basis of standard contractual clauses. The IP address is held only briefly in memory to block abuse.
To keep automated scripts out, running and sending a check use Vercel's bot protection (BotID): an invisible check of technical characteristics of your browser and the request, carried out by Vercel as our host. It needs no action from you, and any cookie it sets serves only this check, never tracking or advertising.
If you then send the check to us, your name, email address, phone number and message reach us by email through Resend, as with the contact form. With "Send my check with it" ticked, so do what you entered, your PDF and the result; untick it and only your details are sent. The legal basis is your request; the result is a first read, not a decision about you.
Cookies and storage
Your browser keeps the following for this site:
- Your cookie choice, in local storage, until you change it or clear your browser data. It never leaves your device.
- Your scroll position, in session storage, so a reload returns you to the same spot. It is cleared when you close the tab and never leaves your device.
- Only after you accept: the Google Analytics cookies
_gaand_ga_L1BLPG2RLG, which tell visits apart and expire after two years.
